Khmer Kitchen Restaurant

Enjoy exemplary Khmer staples such as coconut fish soup and baked pumpkin at rock-bottom prices. In the evenings, even with the restaurant’s newly expanded premises, packed tables overflow into the alley parallel to Bar Street. It’s best to book.

It was the only restaurant on the pedestrian alley that parallels Pub Street on its southeastern side. By year’s end there will be five or six. The owner Perk Sophal, recently moved her kitchen across the road but retained the unpretentious ambience. Dinner ranging from back packers to upmarket tourists keep returning for local fare like chicken soup with lemon grass, lime and mint.

Khmer Kitchen  used to be a little hole in the wall, but in the last few months it has taken over the shop next to it,
and we can see why.
