This is the newest addition to the Indian food scene in Siem Reap. But this restaurant is a bit different, as it is the only restaurant serving completely vegetarian Indian food. It is brought to you by the same people who own and operate the famous Maharajah Restaurant. Of course the food at Chusska is prepared with the same care and quality ingredients as the original, and has the same great taste Maharajah is known for.
Starting with their curry, the mixed vegetable curry is excellently spiced and flavored, as is the Aloo Gobi (a potato and cauliflower dish). The Naan bread served with your meal, is especially well done, and the best Naan this writer has ever had.
If you have never had all vegetarian Indian food, and you are a little doubtful about it, try a Thali (set meal). It has all the dishes mentioned above, plus Daal ( a yellow lentil dish), and a salad. You won’t even miss the meat! Prices are very reasonable. Open from 11 am to 10 pm.
